About VEX U

The VEX U Robotics Team is a project team under the organization, Women In Robotics, Engineering and Development (WIRED). It was founded in 2015 and was original sponsored by the Women in Engineering at Texas A&M University.  Our team gives great hands-on learning opportunities in the Engineering/STEM field. Our team goal is to encourage members to gain experience in both programming and mechanical aspects of robotics.  We provide members with opportunities to expand their technical knowledge through workshops and industry related events. Our team accepts all engineering majors and classifications with no prior experience required.

Programming Subteam

The programming subteam is responsible for the movement of the robot. We work primarily in C++ and use GitHub to actively collaborate and share code. Our primary responsibilities include developing autonomous  and driver control code for both robots.

Meeting Times are

Subteam Meet: Thurs.  7-9 PM

Match Training: TBD

Mechanical Subteam

The mechanical subteam is responsible for building the entirety of the robot from the drive base to the mechanisms necessary for competition. We collaborate on both the design and mechanical structure as a team.

Meeting Times are

Subteam Meet: Tues 7-9 PM

Match Training: TBD
